I have always had an intense love for photography, since I was a child! Seeing the world through my camera is my passion. Whether outdoor in natural light, or indoors with studio lighting, the best memories captured are not staged - they are moments caught in time, true to the personalities of the people that I photograph. You and your family are unlike anyone else...and the portraits that I create for you will embody your personalities, your spirits, your charm!
I love to capture the spirit, beauty and innocence of children and the loving bonds families share in photographs. My own two children and family have been my greatest inspiration. I love doing portraits that show off the true personalities of people of all ages. Sometimes the best portraits are done when the subject doesn't even realize I'm taking a photograph!
I like to get to know my clients a little before I start taking photographs. I want you to feel comfortable with me, and for you to be relaxed and have fun while I capture your moments in time. Being a mom myself, I know that sometimes children can be shy...I love to talk with the kids I photograph, find out what interests them, even play with them a bit. I love to make kids laugh!
I am based in Newtown, Connecticut, but I work on-location, at your home or the location of your choice - where you and your family are most comfortable. I love working with natural light, and I also have studio equipment which is portable, that I can set up in your home. I don't time sessions and will work as long as needed to ensure you will have a great variety of proofs to choose from. Few kids will want to sit still for an entire session, so running around after them and letting them take breaks is all part of how I work. You are welcome to bring several changes of clothes and any favorite items to use as props; for example, a well-loved teddy bear. Before your session, we'll discuss more in-depth what you can expect.
